Philippine National Police-Highway Patrol Group operatives recovered in separate operations ove 400 motor vehicles belonging to various persons by members of a syndicate involved in a large-scale investment scam or the so-called “Rent Sangla Scam”, PNP-HPG Director PCSUPT ANTONIO GARDIOLA JR said when being interviewed.
PSSUPT MARLON V MADRID, Chief of Staff of the Highway Patrol Group surrendered the person of PO1 Jonjie M Manon-og to the NCR Regional Chef of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) on January 20, 2017 for its appropriate action. This is contrary to the news that PO1 Manon-og has been “hiding” and missing to heed with the Warrant of Arrest issued against him by Judge Carlito C Calpatura of the National Capital Judicial Region, Regional Trial Court Branch 145, City of Makati.
The warrant was received by the HPG on January 18, 2017 and on an even date, PCSUPT ANTONIO N GARDOLA, the Director of the HPG immediately directed the Chief, Regional Highway Patrol Unit 9 (RHPU9) in Zamboanga Cty to transport/escort Manon-og to the Headquarters, HPG, Camp Crame, Quezon City.

After the election where Presidential-elect Duterte was declared as winner until the week before his inauguration, the incidents of carnapping and motornapping decreases to 3 MVs and 14 MCs per week.
